Defining the value of IT in a challenging economy

9/20/2009

Q-Matic at GITEX Q-Matic will have the opportunity to show its solutions for Customer Flow Management (CFM) at this year’s GITEX Technology Week in Dubai in October.

“The Middle East is undoubtedly one of the most important areas for our business,” said Michael Hallén, CEO of Q-MATIC AB. “As such we opened a regional office in Dubai a few years ago, and our business has been growing steadily in the area in the last 10 years. We see it as our mission to assist all the new businesses in the region with their CFM solutions, in order for them to improve their efficiencies and increase their turnover,” he said.

Pressure towards consolidation

The theme of this year’s GITEX is Defining the value of IT in a challenging economy. The recession has made the IT department a difficult place to be in and many markets in the Middle East are over-banked. The impact of the financial crisis has created a pressure towards consolidation. The GITEX event will explore how well today’s technology is placed to be the driving tool to enable a rapid recovery process.

Performance

Some of the discussions at the event will revolve around performance. The theory is that without ensuring sustainable performance, organisations today cannot move ahead. Companies need to invest in the right tools not only to enhance performance, but also to ensure that they stay on top of industry trends. Topics to be discussed include business performance management and enterprise productivity tools.
